Our 6.5" Slinky Worm is the perfect "Trick Worm" for shaky head fishing. The secret lies in the super soft, super buoyant plastisol we use, which keeps the tail standing up vertically as it's worked along the bottom. Even in a resting position, the bulbous tail will slowly undulate, enticing the strike. The low resin plastisol makes each worm much more soft and supple, allowing them to float, providing better action, and enabling better hook penetration when rigging.

The ideal rig for these worms is the Shaky Head setup: a 7' Medium light extra fast tip rod, 12lb braid, and a 6 or 8lb fluorocarbon leader, paired with a 1/4oz Shaky head jig. Cast the bait out, let it fall on semi-slack line until it hits the bottom, then slowly drag the bait back, maintaining constant contact with the bottom. Periodically stop the bait and shake the rod tip, making the bulbous tail undulate and flutter at a 70-degree angle off the jig head.

In addition to the Shaky Head rig, these worms can also be rigged in a variety of other ways, including Texas, Carolina, EWG Weightless, Dropshot, Wacky, and Neko Free Rig.

Durability-wise, each worm can withstand 1-3 fish catches before needing replacement. The body shape features a flat bottom and a ribbed top, with an egg sack about 2" into the bait and a bulbous, ribbed tail.
